THE EAGLE MODEL

Eagle is a proven solution to the crises facing young men of color. The Eagle Model is an intentional, comprehensive strategy grounded in results-based parent engagement, academic rigor, college planning, extended day, rituals, and mentoring. This instills a core set of values in scholars to foster their development into young men with strong character, driven toward academic success, and a life of fulfilled dreams.

RESULTS

The effectiveness of EAF’s approaches is proven in our student performance—with an 89% graduation rate across Eagle Academies, our outcomes far outpace the 59% across America for young Black men. In recent years, 98% of Eagle graduates have been accepted to college. Our alumni network now has close to 2,400 young men of color on a variety of career paths.

Moreover, since 2016, EAF has trained educators on how to support the academic achievement and socio-emotional flourishing of Black and Latino male students. To date, we have trained over 1,000 school leaders in 65 cities, positively impacting over 24,000 students nationwide while also remaining committed to our work in New York City.

We empower Black and Latino Young Men and create new paradigms for the future.

“I will never forget Mr. Miller. He made sure I always kept my mask up. Without his help, I would not have kept my mask up, and I could caught covid and passed it to my family and they could die.”
